First of all on the good side now we are having some kind of a community there. People ask questions, others answer them and there are a lot of community activities going on. Since creation of the Sinhala Wikipedia, now only we are seeing the "කෝපි කඩේ" being utilized to the limits.
However on the bad side, most of these new ones seem to be "Trolls". How are we to deal with this situation?
In my opinion we are fighting a war against extinction, defending a already (half) dead language. How successful we will be in the fight against the minority of people who speak and understand the same language we are trying to defend?
I just hope people who do the hard work in our Wiki will have strength to ignore these trolls to continue their work.
Wish us luck!
:-)

Hey Lee
Don't think Sinhala is a half dead language, at least not yet. There are lots of people who can read and write Sinhala, browsing internet every second. We just need to popularize si.wikipedia.org amongst them.I'm sure we can get more people to contribute their knowledge and talents if we can have some kind of campaign to make aware of the existence of a Sinhala Wikipedia. What do you think?

Hmmm... I was told by some people that they are having ideas on doing just the same thing you suggest. Let's see how it goes. But I'm yet to be convinced. :-)
ඔව් මාත් Shane44 එක්ක එකඟයි. මෙහෙම එකක් තියෙනවා කියලා දන්නේත් බොහොම ටිකයි...
